After over a decade of friendship and on-off collaboration playing mostly other artists’ music, four coastal NH 30-somethings decided to start KING DEAD and write original tunes just for the hell of it. Their self-titled debut LP, released in December 2025, is the culmination of writing sessions that began in 2020, drawing inspiration from the band members’ shared love of jazz fusion, funk, soul, Brazilian jazz, post-rock, improvisation, noise-making, bagels, and having a good time.
